Budget-friendly doesn't have to mean unsafe. They're sized for small to medium dogs or short-duration use for larger dogs. Expensive outdoor kennels ($599–$1,499) use heavier 9-gauge mesh, 1-5/8" to 2" framing, and come in larger configurations (8' × 12' to 10' × 15') with roof panels, dig guards, and concrete anchoring hardware. If your dog is under 50 lbs and the kennel is for supervised use, a budget option works. For larger dogs or extended unsupervised use, invest in heavier construction.
